Europe is home to a whole host of beautiful cities which are ready and waiting to be explored. Whether you’re interested in art, scenery, food or fashion there will be a city break out there for you. You can dip your toe into a mass of memorable destinations, so grab your passport and discover Europe’s beautiful gems now.
1. Live the London Life
If you’re travelling with family, friends or a loved one London is the perfect hot-spot for a proper British getaway. London does have a reputation for being a little on the pricey side, but if you do your homework you can find somewhere within your budget to stay. A handy tip for when you’re picking a hotel is to look where it is in relation to the tube map.
You’re bound to rely on the tube for your whole stay in London as it’s a quick and cheap way to get you from A to B. I guess, you’ll be walking a lot in London, so make sure you’re close to a tube station and you’ve packed some comfortable shoes!
Grab a spot of traditional afternoon tea at the quirky bar and café Sketch in central London. You will feel like a local with your English Breakfast tea and clotted cream scone. Be sure to snap a selfie in the quirky toilets too! Make sure you visit the landmarks of London like Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and London South Bank. Take a photo on a signature double-decker bus or inside a bright red telephone box. If you’re feeling cultural head to one of the many art galleries in Mayfair or catch a musical, such as Wicked or Mamma Mia at a West-End Theatre in Soho.
You’re bound to fall in London as soon as you step foot into the bustling busy streets. Leave plenty of space in your suitcase for souvenirs as you’ll be raiding all of the shops on the famous Oxford Street.
2. Passport to Paris
Let me guess, you’re a fashionista and a die-hard romantic. You’ve got the vision of summer in France in your head from classic movies and television shows. Let’s face it, Paris is always a good idea. If you’re looking to escape into a world of fantasy, culture and beauty this might just be the break for you.
Make sure you visit the iconic sights and some of the popular photo spots in Paris, such as the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. Go for a romantic photoshoot with your loved one stealing a kiss underneath the famous tower. You know it has to be done!
If you’re heading to Paris you can’t miss out on the boutiques and pastry shops in one of the fashion capitals of the world. Explore the chic Chanel stores and grab a croissant as you saunter around the Paris attractions and take in the beautiful city scopes around you. You will be in awe of the stunning architecture and you’re bound to go home with a hint of a French accent too!
3. Let Amsterdam Amaze You
Get lost in the history of Amsterdam and explore the canal-lined streets on a trip to the stunning Amsterdam. You’ve got to be an art-lover to head to the home town of Vincent van Gogh himself. Visit the house where he actually lived and head to the museum to review his best artwork.
If you’re feeling adventurous hire a bike and cycle your way around the city, whilst taking in the fresh crisp air. Everyone in Amsterdam tends to grab and bike and go on their merry way, so you won’t be the only beginner wobbling around.
For an additional spot of history you should head to the Anne Frank museum. The beautiful and chilling experience with take you back in time and you’re bound to feel in awe of the history which surrounds it.
4. See the Beauties in Budapest
Budapest is definitely a city worth exploring. It is a city full of culture and elegant architecture; from the world famous baths to the thriving nightlife there is certainly something for every visitor. If you’re looking to get your culture fix then head to the Hungarian National Museum, which will give you a deep insight into the complex history of the country.
The museum itself contains more than a million pieces of art, which are housed in a beautiful classic building from 1846. Another one of the best things to do in Budapest would be Memento Park, which is the home to monuments and famous statues, such as Hungarian leaders and communist icons. You can’t miss the famous bath houses in Budapest, such Szechenyi.
There you will find fifteen different pools at a range of temperatures from beautifully chilled to steaming hot. The baths are a social place where you can enjoy a relaxed day in the sauna, gym or even go for a long swim.
5. Barcelona Beach Life
It is home to sandy beaches, sophisticated shopping and delectable food. If your idea of a break is a beach holiday then Barcelona is the place for you. You cannot miss the relaxing Spanish beaches all year round. At peak times in summer they keep the beach open until midnight and there is a pop up cinema experience. Grab a blanket and some fresh pizza and enjoy watching the sunset as you watch a classic international film.
Take a stroll down the famous Las Ramblas where you will find unique shopping boutiques as well as delicious local restaurants. Grab the catch of the day for lunch and a sip of cool sangria to wash it down. There are also hop on and off bus tours which will show you around the entire city. La Sagrada Familia and the Magic Fountains are highlights of the tour and you can take as long as you want to enjoy the sights you want to see as the bus runs until early in the evening. There is bound to be a city break that appeals to you so grab your loved ones and get exploring the beautiful European sights!

I love all these spots! One other tip for London is that many of the museums are free, so be sure to take advantage! There are many wonderful ones.
