Many older people find that they drift apart from family members, as those family members develop lives of their own. You may lose friends due to illness, disability, and even death. Keep making new friends and stay in contact with the family. You’ll be happier and healthier for it. Aging shouldn’t be a time to sit around and grow old! This is your time to enjoy life and experience new things! Do something you always wanted to do. Take a cruise, go to Vegas, write a book or start blogging. There’s so much to do ! Give things a go and you’ll find what suits you best.
Even a new pet can bring new joy and be a positive learning experience. Don’t underestimate the benefits of receiving unconditional true love form your dog, cat or any other pet. Additional to that amazing feeling of being adored by your pet, you will have to go out for walkies with your little pooch and you’re going to meet a lot of new people.
Animal lovers do have a special characteristic, similar to young mothers and their baby chats. You will meet people you don’t know, yet you will instantly have a lot of subjects to talk about. There is a saying …..” animal lovers are never lonely” … and I do believe in that! Of course, it’s not just a question of attitude.
