And the Liebster Blog Award Goes to…

I was nominated for the Liebster Blog Award by Between the Sea and the Sky, first of all, I would like to thank Anna for nominating me! It is a great honour for me, thank you so so much. You really surprised me, I was not expecting that at all.

A truly lovely surprise, though!

Okay, these are my answers to Anna’s questions 

1.)  What made you start your blog?

Almost 3 years ago I became ill and had to give up my business. When your health does not allow you to keep living an active social – and business life, you NEED to find something to keep yourself motivated. To start blogging was the best decision I have made in the last year, it has given me so much self-esteem back. Part from all the amazing things you still learn, my brain food …and I’m hungry!

3.)  If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

That’s not easy as I am actually very happy where I am. I have travelled and seen a lot, I have not got that desire actually. Yes, there is one place I haven’t been yet always wanted to go …and most certainly will go. Capri …  the blue grot  … not very exotic, I know.

4.)  Who is your inspiration?

Hm, there is no particular ‘who’. I get inspired by much more than by certain people. I find Malala Yousafzai very inspiring, I find women like Waris Dirie very inspiring, but I find a lovely morning, a colourful butterfly, a kind act, friendship, life …. you can get inspired by so much. You only need to be open-minded for inspiration!

5.)  Do you prefer summer or winter?

Easy … summer!

6.)  If you could change one thing in your life, what would it be?

There is not much I would want to change … I would want to feel well and painless, to be able to still do all things I could do a few years ago,  but that’s not up to me … that’s nothing we could change.

7.) What is your first memory?

I find that a very difficult question. My first memory …. think, I can’t remember. But when I think of early memories, pink coloured ice lollies jump on mind …hhmmmm, how I loved them.

8.)  What is your biggest regret?

Oh no, who’s going to believe me ?!  Nothing I want to change and actually really nothing I regret, I think that’s just my state of mind … embrace life the way it is. I don’t have all these negative thoughts of rags and quarrels…

9.)  Do you have a bucket list …. what are your top 3?

No, I don’t. Another aspect of embracing life day by day. There are so many sayings, maybe sounding very trivial and meaningless, but yet so true. Enjoy each day, too many plans we make never come true, instead of longing and waiting for …. live NOW and make the Best of every day!

10.)  What’s the craziest thing you’ve done?

I couldn’t tell. I have done so many crazy things in my life, and still, do. I hate being boring, I hate being surrounded by boring people and I hate being bored …. a bit of crazy goes even before breakfast!

I would like to say a few words about my way of choosing my favourites as I really did this with best care and attention. I have chosen the following 11 nominees by content, style, biography and the notable effort. I have seen many websites strewn with solely ads and pop-ups coming from all across the screen. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with ‘monetizing’, but if a website is nothing but an advertising pillar, that is not my understanding of  ‘blogging’  (my very own opinion of course! ) This just as a short explanation, for not choosing a few. I would have loved to nominate male and female bloggers equal, but that was my hardest challenge. Not many gentlemen among the writing guild. Okay, here we go…
