Too often, we neglect our bathrooms. It’s safe to say that no other room suffers such a lack of love. Yet, our bathroom is one of the rooms we spend the most time in. So, why do we fail to give our bathrooms the love they deserve? The bathroom serves a purpose, but we ignore it the rest of the time.

Even those of us who renovate tend to keep renovations simplistic. The bathroom is no place for beautiful pieces, right? Wrong! It’s time to rid yourself of your bathroom shame. Here are some inexpensive bathroom makeover ideas to make your bathroom one of the prettiest rooms in your home.

Get pretty with Decor

The first step towards a beautiful bathroom is the right decor. Too often, we opt for easy, bland colours. It’s no wonder, then, that our bathrooms are uninspiring. Instead of opting for something safe, go all out. Look for inspiration to give you ideas about what you can do. Then, get to work. Remember to spend as much love over this as you would any other room. Your bathroom deserves to look beautiful, too.

Be adventurous with colours. You could even work with a theme if you fancy! Make the most of it; the bathroom is one of the only rooms where a theme can look beautiful. For obvious reasons, seaside themes are most popular. But, there’s no reason to stick to tradition here. Give your bathroom a personality of its own.

You heard right. It’s time to get the right kit for your bathroom. Of course, this includes the basics, like towels and toilet roll holders. But, there’s plenty of other bathroom furniture to choose from. If you have a small bathroom, you may not be able to do too much here.

Don’t buy furniture that doesn’t fit. It’ll crowd the bathroom and make it an unpleasant place to be! Instead, think of creatively fitted bathroom furniture options or a small over toilet cabinet.You could use handy storage wall hangers or shower hammocks. As well as general furniture pieces, you could consider elegant bathroom vanities which are sure to make an impact and add that much-needed touch of glamour.

MAKE FEATURES OF YOUR TOILETRIES

We’re going to end on an option that’s going to cost you nothing. A bathroom, by its very nature, includes toiletries. So, why not use them to make the place look pretty? Arranging your toiletries in a creative way can be a fantastic addition. Of course, not everything is going to work here. Keep those personal creams hidden. Medication is best kept in the cabinet, too!

Focus, instead, on your perfume bottles. You may have room to keep them on display on your vanity. Make sure to organise them so that they don’t look like clutter. If having them display doesn’t appeal, you could buy a small basket to store them in and leave that one the side instead. Not only will this look great, but it’ll also save you time!
